THE TOWERS FAMILY SAGA
       Episode 172
The progress was clear and
the team was unified. The
iron was shaped, welds
were polished, and the
spirit of the forge was
high. This work kept them
focused, and the pride in
their craft drove them.
The gates were heavy, but
their beauty was real, and
the art was realized. The
skill of the forge was
proven, setting a new
benchmark in Pasadena.
As the project continued,
the team grew closer, and
their craft was refined,
with the iron fueling
their passion as they
proved themselves to be
the builders who endured.
A city official arrived to
inspect progress on a rainy
Tuesday, bringing a chill
into the warm warehouse.
He moved with a clipboard,
checking every weld and
measurement against the
blueprints. Robert stood
by, arms crossed, posture
radiating confidence as
he knew the work's worth.
Virginia waited by the
workbench, heart racing,
as the inspector checked
the scroll work. She kept
her focus on the center
of the shop, where a tarp
hid the hydraulic frame.
Robert had spent the day
shielding that corner, a
distraction so the eye
stayed on the park gates.
The official stopped at the
main gate, tracing his
finger over a tiny seam
where iron met with total
precision. He squinted,
adjusted his glasses, and
touched the metal again.
"I have not seen this
skill in a city contract
before," he said, looking
at them with surprise.
"You are far ahead of the
schedule." Virginia felt
pride wash away her fear.
"We have a great team,"
she said, gesturing to the
floor where the crew was
working. The official
nodded and signed the
paperwork. They passed.
The park gates were now
approved for completion.
As the inspector walked to
the loading bay, he paused
near the covered corner.
Robert's hand touched his
apron, feeling the key.
"Anything under there?"
the man asked, gesturing.
Robert did not blink. "Just
a framework for a private
client's commission, sir."
The inspector shrugged,
satisfied, and went out.
The moment the door shut,
the entire room breathed.
They felt a sense of calm
as their work was vetted.
The city was pleased, and
the path was cleared. The
effort was rewarded, and
the quality confirmed.
