THE TOWERS FAMILY SAGA
       Episode 161
Robert wiped the grease from
his hands, looking at his
family and the tools they now
mastered. "We earned every
bit of this progress," he
said with conviction.
"Let us keep pushing".
A stranger entered the shop
at midday, his presence
shifting the mood of the
workspace. He wore a sharp,
expensive suit and looked
around with a keen, very
calculating interest that
suggested he was used to
high standards. I have heard
quite a lot about your iron
work, he said to Robert,
adjusting his gold watch
with a calm movement. I have
a custom project that I
think you can handle.
Virginia stood close by,
her senses sharp, picking
up on the importance of the
visitor's demeanor. What is
the nature of the project,
sir? she asked, her voice
professional and maintained
the high standard they had
established.
The man gestured to the
open space of the shop to
show the scale of his need.
A set of large iron gates
for a historical estate in
the city, he explained. The
detail must be perfect to
match the period style.
Robert looked at the man,
measuring his intentions
with a veteran's eye. We
specialize in period iron
work, he said, keeping his
tone steady. We would need
to see the blueprints first
to see if we can meet your
requirements.
The man nodded and pulled a
folded document from his
coat, laying it out on the
workbench with precision.
Virginia leaned in, her eyes
scanning the complex curves
and the intricate patterns
that required their best.
It was the kind of job that
would define their shop's
future. This is detailed,
she noted, her mind already
visualizing the work. But
it is within our reach. The
man smiled, pleased by her
assessment. I expected no
less from the reputation
you have cultivated.
They spent the next twenty
minutes discussing the
timeline and the high-end
finishes the client wanted.
Though the stakes were high,
they felt ready. Robert
looked at Virginia, and he
saw the fire in her eyes,
a sign of their ambition.
We can do this, he said to
the man. We will have a
formal quote for you by
Monday. The visitor shook
their hands firmly and left
the shop, leaving them
alone with the blueprints
and the weight of the task.
They stood in the silence,
contemplating the path.
