THE TOWERS FAMILY SAGA
       Episode 153
Robert looked at vee, his
expression softening with a
mixture of pride and
protective care. "Take your
time, Vee," he cautioned,
though his eyes showed he
knew she was ready. "I have
the pace now," she assured
him, her gaze clear and
unfaltering. "I have the new
rhythm. The pills are doing
it, the health is back, and
I feel like a lion". Robert
beamed at her, the
exhaustion of the previous
year finally draining away.
"You are a lioness," he
said. "And we are a Towers
family. That is the truth
that holds us together".
"Let us get to sleep,"
Minnie said, entering the
room to settle them for the
night. "Tomorrow is a big
day. We have the order, we
have the steel, and we have
the vision". They looked
around the room,
acknowledging the simple,
clean, and honest life they
had reclaimed. "No more of
the drama," Robert noted,
looking at his family. "No
more of the pain. Just the
work ahead. Just the forge
fire". It was a true dream,
one they had bled for and
eventually won. As the house
went dark and the stars
watched over the valley,
they slept with the peace of
those who knew that when the
sun rose, they would be
ready to build, to forge,
and to persist.
The gray clouds hung heavy
over Pasadena, shrouding the
city in a muted, reflective
light. Robert stood by the
living room window, his
hands clasped behind his back
as he watched the rain
rhythmically tapping against
the glass. "The garden needs
this," he remarked, his
voice low as he observed the
street below. Virginia
approached him quietly, the
warmth of her tea cup
radiating against her palms.
"It is a welcome change from
the oppressive heat," she
agreed, peering out into the
dampened landscape. "It makes
the shop feel worlds away,
yet I know the work is still
there, waiting for us to
return".
Robert turned away from the
window, his expression
resolute. "We will head out
soon," he said firmly. "The
iron does not mind the
weather, and neither do we".
Virginia nodded, her thoughts
already shifting to the
technical requirements of her
day. "I have the gate hinges
to finish," she noted,
mentally checking her
inventory of parts. "And I
have the steel plates to
finish," Robert replied. "We
have a solid day ahead of
us, and that is exactly what
we need".
