       Episode 140
A heavy fog settled on
the town early one day.
"It is a quiet morning,"
Shirley said, opening
the shop with a lantern.
"It is a peaceful time,"
Virginia said, finding
joy in the still air.
They worked on the small
tasks that they usually
did not have time for.
"We are organized now,"
Dorothy noted, filing
the receipts with care.
"We are prepared for the
rush," Barb added, adding
new tags to the stock.
The morning passed with
a sense of deep order.
"We have the control,"
Virginia said, feeling
the strength of the plan.
"We have the focus,"
Minnie added, watching
the fog move past them.
They felt the grace of
the work they finished.
"We are efficient,"
Virginia noted, feeling
the flow of the store.
"We are effective,"
Minnie said, standing
beside her at the door.
They were ready for the
day to open up at last.
"We are the Towers," they
said as the fog lifted.
"We are the day now."
