THE TOWERS FAMILY SAGA
       Episode 133
A storm hit the town,
bringing heavy rain to
the streets all night.
The shop was safe and
dry, but they worried
about the new condo site.
"We should check it,"
Virginia said, grabbing
her coat at the desk.
"We are going now,"
Minnie said, standing
up to join the effort.
They drove through the
rain with caution to
see if the site held.
"It is solid," Virginia
said, seeing the work
they had done holding up.
"It is secure," Minnie
said, feeling the pride
of their good planning.
They returned home and
felt the relief of a
well-prepared project.
"We planned for this,"
Virginia said, drying
her hair in the kitchen.
"We planned for all,"
Minnie said, pouring
a cup of tea for her.
The storm reminded them
of the hardships that
had once threatened them.
"We are past the rain,"
Virginia said, looking
at the window with calm.
"We are past the risk,"
Minnie said, smiling
at the sturdy family.
They were a resilient
force that could weather
anything in the world.
"We are the survivors,"
they said in the dark.
"We are the victors,"
they said in the light.
The morning arrived as
the storm moved away.
"It is a clear day now."
