THE TOWERS FAMILY SAGA
       Episode 120
Virginia stood alone at
the front window of the
shop as the sun was setting
low, casting long, amber
light across the floors."
She heard the door click
shut behind her and she
turned to see Minnie walk
out from the back office
with her face relaxed."
"Everything is locked up,"
Minnie said, her voice
warm and steady, "and I
have checked the main
register, so the books
are clear for the night."
"We are finally done for
the night, Virginia."
Virginia nodded, walking
away from the window.
"It feels strange, does it
not, to leave the shop and
not have to worry about
what Thorne might have done
to the accounts while we
were all asleep tonight?"
"The quiet is a new, good
feeling," she added now."
Minnie reached out, taking
her daughter's hand.
"It is the feeling of
safety, Gin, because we
have worked hard to earn
this silence for us."
"We have fought for every
inch of it, so you need to
let yourself breathe now,"
she said with concern."
"I know," Virginia said,
offering a small, genuine
smile, "I just keep
thinking about the plan for
the condo and how we will
use it for our future."
"If we really go through
with the renovation, the
Towers name will be on more
than just this shop, and it
deserves to be there," she
noted with certainty."
"We are going to make it a
place where this family
can thrive," Minnie said."
