THE TOWERS FAMILY SAGA
       Episode 114
The day passed in a blur
while Virginia stayed at
the desk to handle orders
that required her focus.
Every entry she logged felt
good, and every file was a
win for their reputation.
"We made a profit,"
Shirley called out loud,
"even after the books."
Virginia looked up now
and gave a small smile.
"That is truly great,
as it proves my point.
He was the one taking
and the one draining."
Barb locked the doors
and checked the security.
"We should keep this up
and stay very sharp."
Virginia dimmed the
lights in the office.
"We will grow further,
we will look at the
condo space tomorrow,
and we will make it a
name people trust again."
Dorothy locked the gate
and joined the group.
"He wanted us to fail,
but look at us now.
We are standing tall."
Virginia went outside
to enjoy the fresh air.
"He is gone," she said,
"the name is all ours."
"We will not let him
tear us down ever again."
"We are the foundation,
finally home and done."
They walked to the car
and sat in the dark.
The lights were soft,
the street was still,
and the night was calm.
"I am proud of us,"
Minnie said softly,
"we did not give up."
"We kept the faith,"
Virginia replied back,
"we stood our ground,
showed our strength, and
proved our real worth."
"We kept the name,
honored the kin, and
led the way for all."
"We finished the task,
won the war, and now
regained the whole shop."
"We secured the future,
fixed the dark past,
and built the bridge."
"We crossed the line,
and we are the survivors."
"We are the winners,
the owners, and the masters."
"We are the ones who are
known as the Towers now."
The drive was short,
the home was waiting,
the tea was steaming,
the peace was real,
and the joy was deep.
"Rest up for the day,
and rest for the work."
