THE TOWERS FAMILY SAGA
Episode 111
Morning sunlight spilled
across the kitchen table,
illuminating the mountain
of files that Virginia had
spread out before them.
She poured hot coffee into
the mugs and pushed them
toward Shirley and Barbara.
"We need to mark every
single error Thorne left
behind in these ledgers,"
Virginia stated, her tone
clipped and professional.
Shirley opened the heavy
ledger and shook her head
at the messy numbers.
"There are years of stolen
funds buried in here, and
it makes me wonder how
he thought he would get
away with it forever."
Virginia pointed to the
final page with a pen.
"We will find every cent,
and we will show the bank
exactly how he lied to
all of us for so long."
Barbara took a long sip
of coffee and looked up.
"Should we call a new
lawyer this morning so
we can be sure we handle
the legal end correctly?"
Virginia gave her a quick,
reassuring smile. "I already
called her, and she is
scheduled to arrive here
at nine to walk us through
the entire process."
Dorothy walked into the
kitchen and paused to look
at the organized chaos.
"The shop looks calm now
that he is not pacing
around in it," she said.
"It will be even better,"
Virginia promised her, "as
we take it back today and
start running it the way
it was always meant to be."
She stood up and paced.
"No more of his greed,
and no more of his theft;
we are the owners now."
Minnie sat down at the
table, feeling human for
the first time in months.
"You were right, Gin, and
I feel like I can finally
act like myself again."
"The shop is our future,
and he is firmly in the
past," Virginia said.
They stood and moved to
get the day started.
The house felt alive as
they worked with purpose.
They had a mission that
kept them focused today.
"We have the proof here,"
Shirley said, tapping the
ledger with her finger.
"He will not hide this,
and he will answer for
every dollar he took."
"The law will prevail,
and the truth will win."
"I am ready to go now,"
Dorothy said, grabbing
her coat from the hook.
"Let us go to the shop,
face the day, and show
everyone that the Towers
are back in charge."
They walked out together,
strong and determined.
The street was awake and
the world was waiting.
They were ready to rise,
lead, and finally win.
No more hesitation existed
in their minds today.
Only the path ahead remained
as they unlocked the seal.
They stepped inside and
knew the shop was theirs.
